Living in Thailand since 1998 has given me a good look at the country, the culture, and the medical system here. Thailand is a very diverse culture, there is a mixture of old and new everywhere you look. The Thai people are welcoming and pleasant to be around and live with. I married here 20 years ago and have enjoyed every minute of it.
Who am I
I am a geologist who lives in Thailand. My geology career ended in 2016, with the renegotiation of the oil and gas contract between the company I consulted for and the government. Due to oil and gas prices at the time, I became more expensive than the local talent and I was made redundant. It was always going to happen and I had spent many of my years here training my replacements.
I moved into online, training myself how to build and maintain websites, healthcareinthailand.com is one of them.
I realized that the healthcare system here is easy to navigate, but has possibilities that are not readily available unless you ask for them. Over the years and through many trials, I decided that I could help others with their healthcare needs.

Our goal is to help you navigate the healthcare system of Thailand. Open your eyes to what is possible.
The mainstream health services are all available in the main hospitals, however, what is not known is that most of the doctors operating within the mainstream system also operate just outside the mainstream through private clinics of their own. Our goal is to advise you of both options and the pros and cons of each.
Better Information
The more information available the better informed a decision can be. The hospitals are not the only option here. They are a great option to be sure, but there are others.
