Who we are
Healthcare in Thailand is an independent information website about hospitals, clinics, health and travel in Thailand. We are not a hospital, clinic or medical provider, and we do not sell medical services.
Information you give us
- Contact form: If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if given) and your message. We use these only to reply to you.
- Comments: If you leave a comment, we store your name, email address, comment and IP address. Your email address is never published. Comments may be held for moderation before they appear.
Please do not send us detailed personal medical information. We cannot give medical advice, and you should discuss your health with a qualified doctor.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web host keeps standard server logs. These record your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, the referring page and the date and time of your visit. They are used to keep the website secure and running properly.
Cookies
This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. When you first visit, a banner asks for your consent. Some embedded content, such as videos and maps, is only shown after you accept cookies.
- Essential cookies: These remember your cookie choice and, if you comment, your name and email for your next comment.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to understand which pages are read and how visitors find us. Google receives information such as the pages you visit, your approximate location and the type of device you use. We only see combined, statistical reports, not who you are.
- Advertising: We use Google AdSense to show adverts. Google and its partners may use cookies to show adverts based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
- Embedded content: Some pages include YouTube videos or Google Maps. These services may set their own cookies and collect information when the content loads.

How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers described above (our web host and Google) so that the website can work, and where we are required to by law. Some of these providers store data outside Thailand.
How long we keep information
- Contact form messages: only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
- Comments: for as long as the comment is published, unless you ask us to remove it.
- Analytics data: according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
Your rights
Under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and similar laws such as the GDPR for visitors from the European Union and the United Kingdom, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how it is used, or withdraw your consent. To make a request, email admin@healthcareinthailand.com. You also have the right to complain to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee or your local data protection authority.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
