The Mor Prom Digital Health Pass accepted in over 60 countries, including 27 countries within the EU, is Thailand’s first line of defense in the war against Covid. Thailand’s Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his deputy Sathit Pitutecha have confirmed that Thailand’s Digital Health Pass has the same recognition as the EU’s Digital Covid Certificate. This agreement has been in place since December 2021.
Foreign nationals living in Thailand can also use the Mor Prom application to confirm their vaccination status for vaccines they received within Thailand.
The digital pass allows holders to travel to events, restaurants, offices that require proof of vaccination. The Mor Prom application will allow interested parties to confirm vaccination and recovery status of all individuals listed in the Mor Prom system. This will facilitate travel for everyone.

“I would like to thank the House committee on public health and executives of the Public Health Ministry, the Foreign Ministry, and the Digital Economy and Society Ministry for pushing for the EU endorsement of the digital health pass. I’m confident people will find it convenient to use the digital health pass when traveling to these countries.”

Deputy Health Minister Sathit Pitutecha additionally stated that ‘mutual recognition means that the Thai government can check the Covid status of visitors carrying the EU DCC. Officials, and businesses in Thailand, can scan the digital certificate’s QR code to check tourists’ vaccination or Covid status.’
The system is effective and works well for inside Thailand.
Mor Prom Information
The Mor Prom Application contains information such as the bearer’s name, age, passport or ID number, and nationality, along with confirmation if they’ve been vaccinated, tested for Covid-19, or recovered from Covid-19.

As you scroll down any Covid tests that have been recorded into the system are also recorded along with the result.

The information on vaccination and recovery status will remain available for 180 days, while the testing information expires in 7 days, according to Dr Kiartphum Wongrajit from the Public Health Ministry.
For Thai nationals to register using the Mor Prom application they use their 13 digit national ID number.
For non-Thai nationals a 13 digit ID number is issued to you after your second vaccination. Use this number to register, with the application.
Must have IOS 13.0 or Newer
Older iPhones cannot load the MorProm application.
Note: For iPhones you will require IOS 13.0 or later, it you are using an older iPhone that does not allow updates to IOS 13.0 or later you will be unable to install the application.
My Android phone is running version 10 and I have not had trouble loading the application.
The MorProm application certainly works well inside Thailand. Thailand has done an excellent job of vaccinating the population here and providing the details on the MorProm Application.
It should be noted that the Mor Prom application has been reported to not work outside of Thailand – therefore any travelers who will travel in the near future would be advised to carry a hard copy of confirmation of vaccine, until this is resolved.
