Bangkok is one of the best places in Asia for skin treatment. Qualified dermatologists, modern laser equipment and prices well below those in Europe, Australia or the United States draw patients from across the region. The hard part is often getting there: Bangkok traffic can turn a five-kilometre trip into an hour. This guide lists well-known skincare clinics that are a short walk from a BTS Skytrain or MRT subway station, so the journey is the easy part.
It combines and updates our two earlier Bangkok clinic lists. The order is alphabetical, not a ranking.
How to choose a skincare clinic in Bangkok
- Check who will treat you. For medical skin problems such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, pigmentation or suspicious moles, look for a doctor certified by the Thai board in dermatology. Ask for the doctor’s name and check it.
- Start with a consultation. A good clinic examines your skin and explains options before selling anything. Be cautious of pressure to buy large treatment packages on the first visit.
- Ask for prices in writing. Most reputable clinics publish a price list or will give you a written quote.
- Ask what product is used. For Botox and fillers, ask for the brand and to see the packaging. Genuine products carry Thai FDA registration.
- Plan your aftercare. Lasers and peels make skin sensitive to the sun for weeks. Avoid booking strong treatments just before beach days or a long flight home.
- Read recent reviews on Google Maps, not only the reviews on the clinic’s own website.

Typical costs
Prices vary widely between clinics and change often, so treat these as a rough guide only. A specialist consultation at a private clinic often starts at around 1,000 baht. The Institute of Dermatology is considerably cheaper. Injectables, lasers and HIFU are priced per session or per unit, and many clinics sell discounted packages. Ask for the full price, including follow-up visits, before you agree to anything.
Cosmetic treatments are not usually covered by travel or health insurance. Treatment for a medical skin condition sometimes is, so check your policy and ask the clinic for an itemised receipt and a medical report.
Getting there
- Avoid rush hours, roughly 7 to 9 am and 5 to 7 pm, when trains are packed.
- The BTS and MRT run from about 6 am to midnight.
- The MRT accepts contactless bank cards at the gates. On the BTS, a stored-value Rabbit card saves queuing for tickets.
- Save the clinic’s location in Google Maps before you leave, as entrances inside malls and office towers can be hard to find.
Frequently asked questions
Is Bangkok a good place for skin treatment?
Yes. Bangkok has a large number of board-certified dermatologists, modern equipment and competitive prices. As anywhere, quality varies, so choose a clinic carefully and start with a consultation.
How can I check that a doctor is a qualified dermatologist?
Ask the clinic for the doctor’s full name and specialist qualifications. Reputable clinics are happy to share this. Thai doctors’ registrations can be checked with the Medical Council of Thailand.
Can I have laser treatment and then go to the beach?
It is not a good idea. Many laser treatments and peels leave the skin sensitive to sunlight for several weeks. Plan strong treatments for the end of your trip, or ask your doctor which treatments are safe before sun exposure.
